Location: St. Neots, Cambridgeshire (Full-time office)
Pico Technology has an exciting opportunity for a Repair Engineer to join our fantastic test team!
You will:
Test, fault find and repair products and associated test equipment:
- Returned by Customers
- Supplied by off-site assemblers for investigation
- Requiring Quality and performance investigation
- Requiring evaluation for new products
- Requiring evaluation to support satisfactory test processes
What do you need:
- Able to read and understand schematics, layouts, BOM’s and other supporting diagnostic documentation
- Working understanding of EPROM programming/PIC/FPGA etc.
- Knowledge of Software and Programming
- Competent level of soldering skills
- Understanding of the working practices at Contract Electronic Manufacturers
- Good communication skills and diplomacy, able to interact with Customers, Suppliers and Design teams as required
- Awareness of Test strategies and best practices with ‘Design for Test’
- Training or experience relating to understanding of analogue & digital circuits and Design and Test methodologies
