Software Test Engineer

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Location: Hybrid working - St Neots, UK (This role is also open to full time office base working)

Hours: 40 hours a week (with 30 minute paid lunch break) 

Core office hours: 10am - 3pm

Do you enjoy software testing? Are you inquisitive and do you have a testing mindset? If so, this could be the opportunity for you!

You will:

• Complete defined features and tasks
• Communicate progress and identify blocking issues
• Assist in backlog refinement - breaking down stories and providing consistent estimations
• Identify and communicate blocking issues
• Facilitate testing within the team
• Create manual test cases and mind maps to aid testing
• Be one of the persons responsible for product / project progression
• Identify areas where they can apply themself to drive quality forward
• Identify risks
• Narrow down and support debugging of issues when needed. 

What do you need? 

• To have experience in manual testing - functional, system, performance, exploratory and stress testing
• ​To highly value quality, have great attention to detail, and seek alternative perspectives 
• ​To have experience with problem-solving and troubleshooting
• To have the drive to learn and research into areas to expand the skill set of your team and provide the best experience for end-users
• May have experience in Agile Methodologies 
• ​You may have experience with testing hardware / embedded systems
• You may have experience with Windows, Mac, and Linux
• ​You may have experience with test automation.
