Software Development Engineer (C++ or C#)

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Location: Hybrid working, St Neots, UK (This role is also open to full time office base working)

Hours: 40 hours a week (with 30 minute paid lunch break) 

Core office hours: 10am - 3pm

At Pico, you will get to develop a high-performance and user-friendly API to our oscilloscope software. The development team exists to integrate new hardware into a secure and well tested C level API. Our mission is to focus on delivering the best SDK experience to both customers’ applications and internal apps such as PicoScope or PicoLog.

You will be joining a great, cross-functional team of 5, where everyone is happy to offer support and answer questions. Your opinion will be valued, we want to hear any ideas you have! 

You will:

  • ​Deliver software features as described by the Product Owner
  • Investigate and fix bugs
  • Write unit and integration tests
  • Communicate progress and identify blocking issues.

What do you need? 

  • ​Excellent object-oriented language C++ or C#
  • A knowledge of programming languages, operating systems and code design
  • Experience with Windows, Mac or Linux
  • Experience in one of the following industries would be an advantage: hardware/embedded systems, automotive or electronics or test equipment industry or automation.
