DevOps Engineer

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Location: Hybrid working, St Neots or Manchester office (this role is also open to full time office-based working)

Hours: 40 hours a week (with 30-minute paid lunch break)

Core office hours: 10am – 3pm

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for, building and maintaining efficient and scalable CI/CD Pipelines for our applications. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure that our development process is streamlined and optimised.

You will:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines
  • Collaborate with developers and operations teams to identify and automate manual tasks in the development process
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality code is released
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) to deliver stable build and test environments
  • Monitor and optimise Pipeline performance, including build times and resource utilisation
  • Develop and maintain documentation for CI/CD processes and procedures
  • Participate in the development of DevOps best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement

What do you need?

  • To have already obtained or be willing to complete:
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect
    • Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert
    • Microsoft Azure Security Technologies
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language, such as Python, Ruby or Perl
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google   Cloud
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Experience in security and compliance best practice
