Hardware Development Engineer (Analogue)

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Location: Hybrid working, St Neots office, (this role is also open to full time office based working)

Hours: 40 hours a week (with 30 minute paid lunch break) 

Core office hours: 10am - 3pm 

Pico are on the search for Analogue Development Engineers with a keen interest in developing leading edge products within the test & measurement and automotive arenas. Our products incorporate a number of exciting technologies such as analogue, digitial, FPGA hardare and firmware. For this role we are looking for people who are keen to specialise or are confident in their knowledge of analogue/mixed signal design skills, so if you have experience in analogue design and enjoy seeing your designs into volume production this could be the role for you.

Pico thrives on innovation and creativity, therefore all our development teams have allocated "blue sky time" where you can work on inspirational projects, either individually or as part of a team. 

You will:

  • Perform research into new concepts/techniques 

  • Define and implement new analogue hardware designs

  • Perform analysis as required to ensure your designs are reliable and robust 

  • Work as part of a team offering support to other specialists 

  • Write and review design and verification documentation

  • Oversee your designs into volume production

  • Have the opportunity to shape our development processes

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards e.g. EMC, LVD & RoH 

 

What you will need: 

  • Experience in requirements analysis

  • Full development lifecycle electronic design experience

  • DC to 1GHz circuit level design experience 

  • Experience with high-speed ADC's

  • Good analytical skills

  • Experience of design simulation tools

  • Proficiency in the use of schematic capture tools

  • An appreciation of designing for manufacture
