Your role:
The successful candidate will be supporting a wide range of IT needs across the business ranging from provisioning, implementing, and upgrading servers, services, and applications as well as networks. In addition to this, being highly involved in fault finding whilst taking an evidenced based approach. This role also includes project management and delivering and managing long term multi-phase projects from end to end. We predict that 40% of your time will be spent performing day to day general IT support duties.
What we are looking for:
We need you to have proven experience and knowledge in the following areas:
- Windows system administration
- Networking
- Cloud platforms
- IT security awareness and knowledge
- Linux systems administration
- Hands on hardware
- Scripting PS and/or bash programming skills
Your schedule:
This role is a full-time position, 40 hours a week based in our St Neots office. We do offer flexibility as some days you may be able to work from home! But this will need to be agreed with your line manager. We understand the importance of a work-life balance and it is essential to us that we support our Piconians to get it right, therefore we have core office hours of 10am-3pm, meaning you can manage your 40 hours flexibly throughout the week.
Once a month there may be a need for you to stay later (past 5pm) to help initiate updates and/or any other requirements needed across the organisation.

All while putting your C# and SQL skills to excellent use.
What we're looking for:
SQL and C# experience is essential, it would be nice if you had C++ or C knowledge but this is not a deal breaker. Experience of UI development using platforms such as WPF. Someone who can use excellent communication and people skills to lead and motivate others.

Pico is currently looking for someone we can put our trust in, to help our customers make the best use of our world-leading PC Oscilloscopes and software.
You will:
- Be able to create example code to demonstrate the full capabilities of our PicoScope hardware
- Assist customers in writing a wide variety of cool and interesting applications.
- Assist the Development and Marketing teams with the testing and evaluation of new products and software features
- Provide after-sales technical support to existing customers and distributors via telephone, email, and the forum for Pico’s hardware and software products
- Record and investigate software and hardware bugs reported by customers
- Assist customers in selecting the correct products for their application.
What do you need?
- Demonstrable experience in writing code in any language to control hardware
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Front line support / customer service experience desirable
- Previous experience in electronics and using test equipment is an advantage
- It would be an advantage to have a broad understanding of oscilloscopes, data loggers, or other electronic measuring instruments
- In-depth knowledge of PCs and Operating systems is vital.
