Pico's Hardware development engineers have a passion for developing cutting-edge products within the test & measurement and automotive arenas. They love to explore exciting technologies such as digital, analogue, FPGA hardware, and firmware, engaging in various tasks such work as:

  • Conducting research into new concepts/techniques

  • Defining and implementing innovative hardware designs

  • Performing analysis as required to ensure your the reliability and robustness of our designs

  • Collaborating with the team to provide support to other specialists

  • Writing and reviewing design and verification documents

  • Overseeing the transition of your designs into volume production

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards e.g. EMC, LVD, and RoHS

Software

Picos software teams work on a wide variety of projects across a broad tech stack. Our in-house software (PicoScope) is used to view and analyse signals from our range of real time oscilloscopes. Our software developers are problem solvers who don’t just stick to what they know, they solve difficult problems by using the most appropriate solution, including: 

  • C#, C++, .Net4.7, Mono, Cocoa, WPF, Gtk#

  • TeamCity, Azure, DevOps

  • Typescript, Angular, Waveform Library

Like our Hardware teams, the Software teams have ‘blue sky time’ where they can work on inspirational projects within the work week.
